WORK READY WITH A FINISHED CV? (18 – 30)
Our Ready to Work (RtW) offer is a two-day employability programme for 18-30 year olds with live vacancies attached, designed to help you straight into work. To find out more about the next programme and sign up, please send your name and a contact number to: south.outcomes@princes-trust.org.uk.

Looking to get a customer service job within the railway industry? >

The Prince’s Trust and Govia Thameslink Railway are running a four week programme to support young people who are not in education, training or employment.

  • Gain a level 2 Customer Service Qualification
  • Complete two weeks of work experience at a station on the Southern or Gatwick Express lines (Kings Cross, Sutton, London Bridge, East Croydon and Victoria)
  • Roles include: Customer Service Assistant and Ticket Office
  • Improve your teamwork and communication skills, boost your confidence, develop your interview skills and build your CV
  • Be considered for a job with Govia Thameslink Rail at one of their stations

 

Are you 16-25? Looking for work in Retail? >

Location: Work Placements in M&S Stores in Brent Cross, Hampstead, Harrow, Kilburn, Pinner, Swiss Cottage, Muswell Hill, Southgate and Whetstone

Taster Day: 16th January 2018
Main Programme: 22nd January to 16th February

 

Get Started With App Design >

The Prince’s Trust and Made by Milk have teamed up to offer a FREE training course.

Are you aged 16-25, not in education, training or employment, currently living in London, join our programme where you can:

  • Work with industry professionals to explore the process of app design.
  • Work in groups to develop ideas and design your own app.
  • Learn how to turn your app idea into a fully functioning prototype.
  • Plan your app at an end of programme celebration event.
  • Meet new people and improve your confidence, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Receive up to three months progression support with the Prince’s Trust to help you find education, training or employment.

WHEN?

  • Taster Day: Wednesday 14th February 2018
  • Main Programme: Monday 19th February 2018 – Friday 23th February 2018
  • Location: West London

 

Interested in gaining your FA Level 1 Coaching badge? >

The Prince’s Trust & West Ham United Foundation have teamed up to offer a FREE one-week course for young people aged 16 – 25, not in education, training or employment and currently living in London:

  • Gain your FA Level 1 Coaching badge and Emergency Aid and Safeguarding qualification
  • Improve and show off your Football skills
  • Meet new people and improve your communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Not only will it help you discover new talents and develop new skills, but you’ll also benefit from support from our staff or one of our mentors to help you uncover your next steps.
  • Travel expenses paid and Lunch provided on programme

WHEN?

  • Taster Day: Wednesday 7th February 2018
  • Main Programme: 12th – 20th February 2018
  • Location: East London

 

The Prince’s Trust and Queens Park Rangers FC have teamed up to offer a FREE training course. >

Are you aged 16-25, not in education, training or employment, currently living in London, join our programme where you can:

  • Improve your football skills
  • Achieve a FA Level 1 Coaching qualification
  • Gain Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications
  • Get the opportunity to work with QPR and learn from professionals
  • Meet new people and improve your communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Lunch and travel provided throughout the programme
  • Receive up to three months progression support with the Prince’s Trust to help you find education, training or employment

WHEN?

  • Taster Day: Thursday 23rd January 2018
  • Main Programme: 29th January 2017 – 9th February 2017
  • Location: West London

 

Are you 16-25? Interested in cooking? >

The Prince’s Trust has teamed up with Food Academy and the Co-Op to offer a FREE cooking programme for young people aged 16-25.

  • Gain hands-on, practical experience in cooking
  • Gain a Certification in Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Plan and deliver a community dinner at a local venue
  • Receive 3 months’ progression support from the Prince’s Trust to help you find work, education or training
  • Travel and Lunch provided throughout the programme

WHEN?

  • Taster Day: Tuesday 16th January 2018
  • Main Programme: Monday 22nd January – Wednesday 31st January 2018
  • Location: East London

 

Are you interested in product design? >

The Prince’s Trust has teamed up with Makerversity to offer a FREE one-week product design programme for young people aged 16-25 to DESIGN, CREATE and MANUFACTURE a product using industry specific tools, software and techniques.

In partnership with

  • Design and make your own unique product using a range of technical methods and state of the art equipment
  • Participate in workshops in Graphic Design, 3D Printing, Laser cutting, Woodwork, Computer Aided Design and more!
  • Work as a group to plan an exhibition to showcase your products at the end of the week at London’s Somerset House
  • Discover new talents, meet new people and develop new skills
  • 3 months’ progression support from the Prince’s Trust to help you find work, education or training
  • Travel and Lunch provided throughout the programme
