Spectacular fireworks will illuminate the skies above Tower Hamlets on 4 November when residents can enjoy a stunning and free Fireworks Night display to keep the whole family entertained. The venue opens for food stalls and music at 5.30pm and the glittering display will take place in Victoria Park at 7pm.

This year’s display has a thrilling monstrous theme, inspired by the first science-fiction novel Frankenstein, which was first published two centuries ago. Two centuries after the first piece of science-fiction, Frankenstein, was published, a fiendish creature will be rendered in novel, and fiery ways. Organised by the council’s arts, parks and events team, this year’s Guy Fawkes celebrations will captivate audiences with dazzling visuals and an atmospheric soundtrack created by leading pyrotechnical and outdoor theatre company, Walk the Plank walktheplank.co.uk
