East End Women at Work exhibition
East End Women at Work at the Brady Arts Centre is an exhibition of photographs by Sarah Ainslie taken in the early 90s. The photographs that Sarah Ainslie has taken of working women in the East End during 1991/2 for Hackney Museum are equally relevant to the present day and show the many roles that women take on at work, by making visible the often-unseen work that happens behind the scenes and the unrecognized contribution that they make to society as a whole.
