Linc Centre Cycling Group joins 2017 Prudential Ride London
A group of local riders from the Lincoln estate and the LinC Centre staff has joined more than 70,000 cyclists who enjoyed the traffic-free roads of central London on Saturday, 29 July 2017 as part of this year’s Prudential Ride London.Led by a professional group ride leader provided free by the London Cycling Campaign (LCC), the group started from Chrisp Street Market and followed a route along safe roads and canals to reach the festival sites that included: London’s iconic Southbank, Guildhall Yard, Leadenhall Market, St Paul’s Churchyard, Aldwych, Lincoln’s Inn Fields and Green Park.
Anyone interested in being part of this annual festival of cycling event in 2018 may contact Sunara Begum at Poplar HARCA’s Linc Centre, tel. 02075385748. Poplar HARCA’s community neighbourhood centres have been running free cycling training since 2014 in partnership with Bikeworks and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and have worked in partnership with the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) to promote group cycling including annual participation in Prudential Ride London.
Prudential RideLondon provides a fantastic platform to help fulfil The Mayor and Transport for London’s goal of encouraging more people to cycle more safely, more often.
